Tubular Cluster Algebras I: Categorification
We present a categorification of four mutation finite cluster algebras by the cluster category of the category of coherent sheaves over a weighted projective line of tubular weight type. Each of these cluster algebras which we call tubular is associated to an elliptic root system. We show that via a cluster character the cluster variables are in bijection with the positive real Schur roots asso...
متن کاملCLUSTER ALGEBRAS AND CLUSTER CATEGORIES
These are notes from introductory survey lectures given at the Institute for Studies in Theoretical Physics and Mathematics (IPM), Teheran, in 2008 and 2010. We present the definition and the fundamental properties of Fomin-Zelevinsky’s cluster algebras. Then, we introduce quiver representations and show how they can be used to construct cluster variables, which are the canonical generator...
متن کاملMinimal Varieties of Algebras of Exponential Growth
The exponent of a variety of algebras over a field of characteristic zero has been recently proved to be an integer. Through this scale we can now classify all minimal varieties of a given exponent and of finite basic rank. As a consequence we describe the corresponding T-ideals of the free algebra, and we compute the asymptotics of the related codimension sequences. We then verify in this sett...

متن کاملGrowth rates of algebras, II: Wiegold dichotomy
We investigate the function dA(n), which gives the size of a least size generating set for A, in the case where A has a cube term. We show that if A has a k-cube term and A is finitely generated, then dA(n) ∈ O(log(n)) if A is perfect and dA(n) ∈ O(n) if A is imperfect. When A is finite, then one may replace “Big Oh” with “Big Theta” in these estimates.
